Onuma and John met a little over four years ago at JP Morgan when we each attended a meeting in place of our managers. We hit it off instantly and soon began dating. Soon John joined the Loesvidhya’s on backpacking weekends. John and Onuma had many long weekends together in Phila., Wash. D.C., Baltimore and a New England vacation that led us to Maine. They realized their love of sunny skies and water sports from their Dominican Republic and Bahamas family vacations. We both enjoy sports and have tennis as a common activity. On a drizzly January Sunday in '06, John took Onuma for a long ride in his new car (with surprise awaiting). John’s drive took us north to Bear Mountain where John got down on one knee and proposed marriage. Along with Onuma's "Yes" there were tears of joy.
Our wedding ceremony will be held outdoors at the same venue as our reception. The ceremony will be interfaith that will encompass Thai Buddhist elements as well a Catholic reading. We want to celebrate two people coming together from different ethnic backgrounds and joining as one for eternity.
The cocktail hour will immediately follow our ceremony. This was planned so that our celebration of becoming married can immediately follow and begin for our guests. At the conclusion of the cocktail hour we move indoors for the reception. We continue our theme of bringing two people and families together by celebrating with good friends. The reception will be elegant and classy and will have plenty of good music, food and cheer for all.
At the conclusion of the wedding, all guests are welcomed to a post party to be held at the Comfort Inn on Rt. 59 Nanuet NY. Many of our out of town guests will be staying there as well as members of the bridal party and family. Monday we will say goodbye to our guests leaving to go home and we fly out Tuesday morning for the beautiful beaches of St. Lucia. We are staying at St. Lucia Grande resort for 10 nights and we return Friday July 6th.
We would like to thank everyone in our bridal parties that have made this day special. A special thank you goes out to Vance & Ida Kittira and Eddie Suwansiri who have helped us to achieve the most beautiful candles for our table arrangements. We also want to acknowledge our family event decorators Eric & Meg Johnson and Jerry & Linda Kane for their time and efforts. A final special thank you to our ring bearer Austin Loesvidhya and flower girl Victoria Kittira for making our day that much more special.
Wasana, John and Beth - Mom & Dad - you mean the world to us and thank you for always being there ...........................
Love, Onuma and John
